The GTC (General Terms and Conditions) apply to all registrations and are accepted by registration. No responsibility is taken for the correctness of the data listed in the course program. At the same time, the following GTC contain legal information about your rights according to the regulations on contracts in distance selling and electronic commerce.
1.1. For the business relationship between

, Owner: Angelos Margaritis, Tübinger Straße 27, 70178 Stuttgart (hereinafter referred to as “Seller”) and the Customer shall be governed exclusively by the following General Terms and Conditions in the version valid at the time of the order.

1.3. A consumer within the meaning of these GTC is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for a purpose that can be attributed neither to his commercial nor to his independent professional activity (§ 13 BGB).
1.4. Deviating terms and conditions of the customer shall not be recognized unless the seller expressly agrees to their validity in writing.
2.1. The presentation of the courses in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order. Descriptions of services in catalogs as well as on the websites of the seller do not have the character of an assurance or guarantee.
2.2. All offers are valid as long as places in the courses are available. Apart from that, errors are excepted.
2.3. Participants with 80% attendance will be admitted to the final test and will receive a certificate with grades upon successful completion. They will also receive a certificate of attendance if they have 80% attendance.
2.4. Participants who have an unexcused absence from the exam will not receive a certificate. Excused participants who present a medical certificate will be given the opportunity to participate in a make-up exam. There is a participation fee of 50 euros. Participation in the regular exam within the intensive course is free of charge.
2.5. The certificate can be picked up at the reception desk within 3 months of its creation by appointment. Collection after 3 months after creation will incur fees over 20 euros.
3.1. You can register for a new course at any time using one of our registration forms. We advise early booking, as the courses are usually booked up quickly.
3.2. Prerequisite for participation in courses is a minimum age of 18 years and mastery of the Latin script. Your registration becomes binding only after full payment of the course fee.
3.3. The announcement of events is subject to change. After registration for an event and with the sending of the registration confirmation, the contract is effectively concluded. Upon registration you will receive a non-transferable registration confirmation. If you have not received it before the course starts, please ask for it.
4.1. The customer can select a course without obligation and place it in a so-called shopping cart by clicking the button. If the selected level does not match the placement test result, the seller can change the course.
4.2 Subsequently, the customer can proceed to the completion of the order process within the shopping cart by clicking the button [Weiter zur Checkout].
4.3. By clicking the button [Kaufen] the customer makes a binding offer to purchase the goods in the shopping cart. Before sending the order, the customer can change and view the data at any time. Required information is marked with an asterisk (*).
4.4. The seller then sends the customer an automatic confirmation of receipt by e-mail, in which the customer’s booking is listed again and which the customer can print out using the “Print” function (order confirmation).
4.5. The automatic confirmation of receipt merely documents that the seller has received the customer’s booking and does not constitute acceptance of the application. The purchase contract is not concluded until the seller has confirmed with a second e-mail, an explicit order confirmation or sending the invoice.
5.1. The customer can choose from the available payment methods within the framework and before completion of the ordering process.
5.2. If third-party providers are commissioned with the payment processing, e.g. Paypal, their general terms and conditions apply.
5.3. Fees are due for payment prior to the start of the course. The event is not dependent on the time of the fee collection. If the fee is paid by a third party (third-party payer, e.g. employer), a declaration of cost absorption to be signed by the payer must be issued. If courses extend over several semesters, the registration is valid for the entire duration specified.
You will receive an invoice. The invoice amount is due for payment when the invoice is issued.
We will issue a certificate of attendance upon completion of an event. The prerequisite for this is participation in at least 80% of the teaching units. The list of participants serves as proof of regular attendance at the events.
8.1. As a rule, the prerequisite for the implementation of a course is the achievement of the minimum number of participants before the start of the course.Events that have not achieved the required minimum number of participants on the first course date may be cancelled. You will then be refunded the course fee.
8.2. Likewise, courses that do not reach the respective minimum number can be held, taking into account content-related and organizational aspects, if the participants are willing to pay a corresponding fee surcharge (apportionment). The decision on this is made by the institute management.
For walking tours and study trips, the respective regulations of the travel agency industry and the service providers apply.
10.1. Use of Software: The programs made available as part of the course may not be modified, duplicated, distributed or made publicly available in any way. The use is only permitted for the purpose of course participation. In case of violation, the participant is liable for the damages incurred.
10.2. Internet access: If German Institute provides Internet access, its use is only permitted for the purpose of course participation. Internet pages with pornographic, racist or discriminatory content may not be accessed. In case of violation, the participant is liable for the damages incurred.
10.3. Data loss, computer viruses: Each participant is responsible for backing up his/her own data. German Institute assumes no liability for loss of data. German Institute assumes no liability for damages caused by the application of acquired knowledge, or by the use of created or modified programs, or by computer viruses or other destructive programs.
11.1. German Institute may withdraw from the contract due to insufficient participation, cancellation of a lecturer or for other justified reasons. In these cases, payments already made will be refunded: course fees refunded. Further claims against German Institute are excluded.
11.2. The withdrawal of a participant must be made in writing at least 30 working days before the start of the course. Absence from the course is not considered a withdrawal. Course fees will not be refunded in the event of late withdrawal. Withdrawal due to illness must be confirmed by a medical certificate. In these special cases, please contact the institute management. The school management will check if a cancellation is possible. Discounts do not apply in case of cancellation. Once a visa registration confirmation has been issued, a visa refusal confirmation is required for cancellation. In case of cancellation and return debit notes we charge a fee over 50 Euro.
11.3. The declaration of withdrawal to the instructor(s) is invalid.
11.4. In the event of an operational closure, courses will be held online or rescheduled. Cancellation is not possible in this case.
12.1. For copyright reasons, we would like to point out that photography, filming and recording on tape are not permitted in the events.
12.2. Teaching material may not be exploited in any way without the permission of German Institute, in particular it may not be duplicated, distributed or publicly reproduced.
German Institute’s liability is limited to cases of gross negligence or intent on the part of German Institute or its agents.
In the event of a disruption or an accident, the participants are obliged to do everything reasonable to contribute to the elimination of the disruption or to keep any resulting damage to a minimum.
Should individual provisions of the General Terms and Conditions be wholly or partially invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining parts of the contract. The invalid provision or its invalid part shall be replaced by a provision which corresponds to the presumed intention of the parties or comes closest to it in economic terms.
German Institute is a guest in the buildings it uses. We ask that you observe the house rules, do not smoke in the buildings and do not park on school grounds. Ideological, party-political or economic advertising in the events of German Institute is not permitted.
Unless otherwise stated or agreed, courses do not take place on public holidays and, as a rule, during the institute vacations. Subject to change without notice. If the class falls on a holiday, full tuition is due, as well as if the student is absent.
Students are not covered by the school’s health, accident or liability insurance. We recommend comprehensive insurance that also covers all cancellation fees.
The personal data provided by the participant to German Institute will be electronically processed and used to the extent necessary for the establishment, execution or termination of the contract and customer service.The collection of personal data is solely for our own business purposes. Your data will remain stored with us for 10 years. The information on age and gender is provided solely for statistical purposes and thus for better planning of the program. The data protection acc. BDSG is taken into account. The personal data provided in the context of a registration will be treated confidentially (§ 3 para. 1 BDSG). Any deviating agreements must be made in writing. This also applies to the waiver of this requirement.
21.1. The seller saves the contract text of the order. The GTC are available online. The customer can print the text of the contract before submitting the order to the seller by using the print function of his browser in the last step of the order.
21.2. The seller also sends the customer an order confirmation with all order data to the e-mail address provided by him. Furthermore, the customer receives a copy of the GTC with his order.
Place of performance is Stuttgart. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the contractual relationship shall also be Stuttgart, provided that the contractual partner is a merchant.
With the announcement of these GTC Terms and Conditions, all previous ones lose their validity.
