Information about the C1 Goethe exam
READ (70 minutes)
Part 1
Add information to a text. Answers must be grammatically correct.
Part 2
You will read four texts and assign topic focus areas.
Part 3
You read a text and choose the words in the tasks ( a , b , c or d ) that fit into the set.
LISTENING (40 minutes)
Part 1
You listen to a text once and fill in missing keywords.
Part 2
You will listen to a text twice and tick: a, b, c.
WRITING (80 minutes)
Part 1
Free written expression
You are to express yourself in writing on a topic.
You get two themes to choose from.
Part 2
Reshaping a letter
SPEAKING (15 minutes)
Part 1
You are asked to comment on a specific topic.
Part 2
You are to have a conversation with your partner.
You have 15 minutes to prepare. During the exam you are supposed to speak freely.
